In general, we have been brought up to fear and resist our humanly erotic desires.  Because of this, the falsifications of the erotic are effervescent within society.  Society generally degrades the erotic as a symbol of strength for women and hands that ability to the male corner.  The male gaze has often plasticized eroticism for women forcing society to turn away from its power or simply view it as pornography. Without the strength of the erotic, the world would be abridged to mere aesthetics. My work aims to represent the power of eroticism, pulling it from the bedroom or publication and placing it in the midst of the human gaze.  I am interested in revealing moments of time that yield extreme human satisfaction. I aspire to exemplify the energy and authority of the erotic through my works while simultaneously exploring the essence of female sexuality. It is my desire to engage the viewer directly with the female experience of pleasure and to reveal the power therein.

I derive my images from male-based pornographic publications and capture them from the male gaze by utilizing soft materials that are generally associated with women.  My interests within the power of female-based crafts in turn excavated a bridge into the focus of my work. By using such materials, I am simultaneously reflecting the strength of crafts for the history of women and engaging in an erotic physical process of creation.

For future works, I will endeavor to diverge from my current role as provocateur and aspire to advance further into exemplifying the depths of the erotic. I intend to evolve further into my own personal reflections of the power of the erotic. In turn I feel content when I can grasp my own work as a personal, yet powerful reflection of myself at the utmost point of satisfaction.
